I love the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Lovely place to take a stroll along the beach. As one reviewer said, yes, it can get a little schetchy at night, so I wouldn't go alone, and do pick your events carefully. But my husband and I were there last night for the beach music concert with The Swinging Medallions at the Sun Fun Festival and we had a blast.
