My first Myrtle Beach experience was in 1966. I cried all the way back to Virginia, determined to live here one day. The only boardwalk was only one block at the Pavilion. I was here the day the amusement park closed. And, yes, I live here now. My daughter and I took a retreat this weekend....must 6 miles from my home....she lives in Mt. Pleasant. We are staying oceanfront with a beautiful view of the boardwalk and ocean.
