SHAME on you and your doctors for not seeing my friend's autistic daughter. Autism is NOT an infectious disease. It is NOT something to be feared or shunned. Parents of autistic children already have it tough and they don't need DOCTORS making it worse. My dear friend had this appointment for her girl for 2 months just to be turned away because she was autistic?! SHAME SHAME SHAME on you. You will not be getting my business and I will make sure no one else I know visits your discriminating practice.
This "professional" business refused a child for being autistic this morning sending the mother away in tears. I suggest taking your family elsewhere unless you prefer being treated as "less than" if you or your child have any conditions they could judge you for! Their actions are disgusting and should not be tolerated!
I have been with Spring Klein Vision Center and Dr. Way for 13, almost 14 years now. The staff has always been kind and helpful. The building is always kept up and welcoming. Dr. Way has been a great eye doctor and has always been friendly and personable. I see him yearly for vision checkups and new contacts. The wait time from check-in to seeing the doctor is reasonably fast. Excellent service from the moment I walked in the door. Dr. Nelson and front staff were very professional with the entire process.
1 star is more than they deserve. These people turned away my great niece this morning because she is autistic. She was in a good mood and tried speaking to the doctor who ignored her. The doctor told my niece he couldn't see her as she had too much going on when he saw she had written autistic on the forms. How does a doctor do this to any child. The so called professionals at this center turned away a family this morning because the daughter has autism. I highly encourage everyone to seek another outlet for their vision services. What will happen to you as soon as they discover you don't fit their mold of what a patient should be? Disgusted and disappointed there are still people in the world like this.
