I want to start off by saying that originally this would have been a 5 star review. Dr Young is amazing and she went above and beyond. Eric the front desk manager was great, and the nurse and eyewear staff were friendly as well. This review is specifically because of the rudeness of their front desk member Ashley. On Friday the day after my appointment, I received a ref number to submit to the DMV and my name was entered incorrectly (not their fault, I have 4 names and issues arise from that), so it was not valid. Would love to give a (-) review if possible. I wish that I had just walked out. They first called n said that they couldn't take insurance. Then told them that we were paying cash. Was going to get both contacts n glasses. They were going to charge $150 for contact exam PLUS $99 for the eye exam. First time I've ever heard of charging for both n I've seen eye doctors all over TN, Ky, NC and SC. I could NOT believe my ears. Should have walked out then. Cancelled appointment but none of our numbers were notified. Literally emailed us to confirm yesterday which we did! What a waste of time.
Dr Blackwell is the WORST eye doctor. Absolutely rude and disrespectful! He’s arrogant and doesn’t have his patients best interest in mind. Would never recommend him to anybody! If I could give 0 stars I would.
