First, be prepared to spend up to 2 hours for the appointment. Second, the doctors and refraction technicians are remote. It's sad that you have to sit and wait for them to "pop-up on the tablet screen". It's not very personable. The whole appointment seems very "robotic" and rehearsed. For example, I brought my 21 yr old son who is on the spectrum. During when the doctor is on the screen showing you what your eyes look like, my son had a mental/behavior meltdown. They were super patient and helpful while I spent lots of time picking out glasses. Worked with me while I tried to make a decision and was helpful in what works best for me and my face. Greatly appreciated all the help. 10/10 reccomend.
I will not come back and find a new dr for next year exam. Was there for two hours. The business manager was rude, the guy up front did not take time to explain anything about the forms for me to sign. I did not know it was a virtual appt for when booked on line it showed a dr and dr name and underneath name was a link stating learn more. I did not open link for I presumed it was more info about the Dr's experience or health ratings. The average person would not click the hyperlink.
