Where to start… I guess I’ll start with the incompetent technician. We had an issue with our commercial oven, and the technician came out claiming we needed several parts — including a new motor. We authorized the repair. Later, we were told the motor was on backorder, so I located one in Austin myself and drove up to purchase it. The technician returned and installed all the parts. Asked for a repair estimate to fix a refrigeration unit. Wanted to determine if worth repairing. Tech diagnosed that a part needed to be replaced. The repair cost was less than to replace, so we proceeded with the repair. Well that didn't fix the unit. Tech then said it needed another part & that would double the repair cost. I told him had I known that from the beginning I would not have moved forward with any repair work. Decided just to replace the unit. based on their driver who cut me off on the freeway, was weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds over the speed limit, did not use their signals and almost clipped a few other cars, I don't think I would want that type of person working on my equipment.
