Original owner was great, but then he sold to U-Haul and they are not great. I put my stuff in storage to go on an extended trip overseas. After being gone for months, with months left on my trip, their manager contacts me to say they're replacing the doors on all the units and I need to move my stuff, give them key, or they'll cut my lock. Someone broke into my storage took my lock and so so much of my things I told the owner he said there’s nothing he could do. I didn’t have the money to get another lock and he said he wouldn’t provide a new one. Very disappointed I have two kids and they lost stuff and so did I. The fact that they aren’t trying to make it right and never told me that the units kept getting broken into upsets me

I was taken aback by how unkind someone could be during such a difficult time. My father passed away yesterday, and I’m trying to tie up loose ends from afar. He had a car stored somewhere in Montana, but since he lived in Alaska and I’m in Minnesota, I’m not familiar with the area at all.
