I have utilized Ask a Nurse at least 10 times for my son’s pre and post liver transplant needs. They are fantastic! Every nurse I have called as used the info I have provided to make the best call on what steps will be next! They are so kind when it comes to helping. I love that they take what they can with the short amount of info they have on my son to help provide feedback on what we should do! Called asked about post operation symptoms. they were Clearly reading from a monitor. Their answers contradicted what my doctors had told me and I asked if I could just have the phone number to my surgeons nurse and they told me they could not give that number out. Was advised to visit the ER after visiting the ER and speaking with the surgeon I was asked why I came to the ER because I didn’t need to. The symptoms I was having were normal. Called about heart attack, got hung up on 30 seconds into a rude nurse telling me she doesn’t have the ability to tell us what or where to go, went to Avera, got help there immediately.

Super rude... called regarding my 10mo olds respiratory illness, and indicated I was concerned about her O² stat. I told her my daughter has reactive airway, that she's on several breathing treatments and that her numbers are sitting at 85-87 when she sleeps, she is wheezing and working hard to breath. When i move her around she bumps back up to 90, and then drops again.
