Revising this review although it probably doesn't matter since the business is closed. Paid through end of season close, only to learn from a former employee that the business was closed without notice. No response or refund from owner and highly disappointed in recommending this business. Always try to work with and support local, small business owners, but this time I got the short end of the stick.

Terrible! One person(believed to be owner) curses and screams at the top of his lungs every time something doesn't go right. Horribly over priced. Would not recommend for anyone!

My Pool People is a fantastic find in the NOVA area for pool care, maintenance, chemicals and equipment upgrades. Personalized care from the owner who knows pools inside and out, and actually has a genuine, longstanding interest in everything pool related. Jonathan upgraded our main pump to a unit that is far more efficient and whisper quiet. The energy savings have paid for the pump in one full season. Took my pre-pay for the 2019 season, only did opening and 1 month of service, then completely stopped answering texts, calls, emails. I sued him in small claims court and received a favorable judgement.

Worst possible experience. Took our money, didn't finish the job. Stopped answering/returning calls and texts, emails bounce back. Absolutely terrible. Would give 0 stars if possible
