I’ve been in Dickinson for work, before I tried MyPlace I stayed at a couple different hotels in the area. MyPlace is by far the best! The manager Amanda is amazing and has trained her staff to be that way as well! Everyone is always so pleasant when I arrive and during my stay. The rooms are clean, neat, and come with a fridge and burner tops so you are able to make small meals while here. This stay was genuinely disappointing. The biggest issue was the bathroom—specifically the shower, which was visibly dirty and appeared to have mold. Cleanliness is the bare minimum expectation at any hotel, and this fell well short. What made the experience worse was the response from management. I filled out the survey that was sent to me and received a response from the GM less than 15 minutes later stating that the room had already been “thoroughly inspected” and no issues were found. I’ve stayed at My Place Hotel in Dickinson a few times in late March 2026, and I want to give a balanced review. First, the positives: the rooms are clean, well-kept, and comfortable for the area. The property itself is solid, and my initial stay (around the end of March) was genuinely good. Staff during that visit were friendly and everything went smoothly. This is a easy decision in hotels when traveling to Dickinson, they offer a great rate, full size appliances in the room, deep drawers, pet friendly lots of parking, easy to find from the highway and most importantly CLEAN, friendly staff.

True to its name, My Place is the only hotel we have stayed at where our family has felt so truly at home. Right from the onset of my initial phone inquiry, the manager, Amanda, was very kind, considerate and immensely helpful.
