My wife and I have been members of My Credit Union for almost 25 years. Our banking experience up until last month was fairly decent. We are now at the point of closing all of our accounts. Last month in August they implimented a new system. This sytem from the very beginning has been nothing but on headache after another. Online banking is a joke. Opened an account - very misleading on capabilities of mobile banking! Went in today to close account. I did not have my account numbers - they asked my name only - no id check and I was able to close all accounts and walk out with cashiers check or cash. Very disturbing that I was able to do this with no security checks.
I stopped by to use the atm. I am not a customer but I do belong to a different credit union. I did not receive my money and instead had a receipt spit out at me that said I had exceeded my daily spending limit which I had not. Low and behold I checked my account and the money I never received from the atm was no longer in my account. This credit union basically stole my money. Customer Service has significantly gone downhill in the last several years. Just called and their head Customer Service Rep, Laura, hung up on me when I indicated she wasn't listening or answering my questions. Very disappointing. My fifth call today to try to straighten out an accounting issue.
