Mostly a good experience to date. One exception is with Part D coverage. I have type Ii diabetes. After years of various efforts and escalating a1c, we went into a tirzepatide research program that brought it from 9+ to 5.6. Perfect. My GP and I have maintained same after the program with a lower dosage for the past year. Cost, $44 mo. Via CDPHP. Changed to MVP this year, now forced to pay $165 mo. MVP has put my family’s health and safety at risk. My mom has a terminal brain tumor and with each day she loses more and more independence. She is unable to toilet on her own, get food for herself, dress her self, get off the chair by herself, walk without assistance and the list goes on. MVP refuses to grant her more than 8 hrs a week of home care. Leaving all of her cares to me a new mother recovering from a c section. They make it sound like 8 hours is a gift! My experience with MVP Healthcare has been extremely frustrating and, frankly, unacceptable. I am on a medication that requires prior authorization every six months. I have been on this medication for a full year and have successfully received two prior authorizations in the past with no issues. However, this most recent renewal has been handled in a way that has disrupted my care and wasted a significant amount of time.
