Dr. Adelani is the best. I had a total knee replacement in August of 2018 and have had no pain or problems since. I recently tore my miniscus in my other knee and she was caring and compassionate as we discussed possible treatments. No rushing and the patient is part of the decision making. Now to address some of the negative reviews above. The x-rays are done by Barnes and she is not responsible for the cost. Dr. Adelani performed a total knee replacement on me in 2017. I have no complaints about her as a surgeon. I trusted her skills. She was always professional and courteous to me in our interactions. I was appreciative of her good listening skills and she answered my questions to my satisfaction. I would recommend her to anyone needing orthopedic surgery.
THR done by Dr. Muyibat Adelani on March 16th 2018. Zero complications. Having a TKR by her done soon. "Whenever you're ready" was her reply. LOL! Her smile is unforgettable, totally.
I had a full knee replacement. I got a timely appointment where I was seen by her and another surgeon. The surgery was clearly explained,and my questions were answered. ~ The Doctor’s surgery went without any problems. I saw her many times while in the hospital. I am HAPPY, PLEASED, and GLAD that I CHOOSE DR. ADELANI !! She is a Superb surgeon, and my recovery has gone Perfectly!! I have FULL CONFIDENCE in Dr. ADELANI !! A 1st/ Rate Surgeon !!!
I hurt the ligaments around back of knee in horrifying pain when standing, knee locks up. I saw her one time. Before seeing the doctor, In office X Rays were done. She did 7 of leg. Then i waited in room for 45 mins. She came in, sat at desk, read X Rays and said all looks good. No examination. She ordered physicsl therapy in same buiding. PT office person said scheduling 5 weeks out for new patients. I said i would go to another location, was told same everywhere. Said fine. About 3 weeks lat
she seemed cold/distant. After tests she referred me to another dr., 3x's specifically said 'don't call them they'll call you'.. Left message next day to speak to dr bc she had quoted my symptoms inaccuratly..... left second message....still no return call. Two months later i had not heard from anyone. Left message...finally received call, they apologized, yes, she had written order but nothing had been done about it. i was assured she would get this rolling & FU on this, 7wks later...waiting.
Neither of her first two diagnoses were correct. Quick to give a shot in the joint. Doesn't ask questions about symptoms; poor communications. Cookie cutter approach. Quick to suggest surgery. Poor beside manner by her and her assistant. I refer to her to family and friends as the shot doctor.
Insensitive, uncaring, poor bedside manners! Does X-rays repeatedly, and then does nothing! Very costly!!!
