I have had Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia for my home policy for 25 years and never had a claim. Recently, 3 of my neighbors were found to have hail damage on their roofs. Their insurance paid to have their roofs replaced. I contacted Mutual Assurance and they sent someone to inspect the roof and told me that there was minimal hail damage, just on the copper part of the roof. They gave me about $1700 for repairing that. Very disappointed in their assessment of my roof. I would not get this insurance.
We have been customers for over 20 years. We’ve had to use our insurance on three occasions, and have been very pleased with the service. They are definitely worth considering for homeowners coverage.
Recent high winds and hail damaged our house, shed, fencing, trees and landscaping. So far Mutual Assurance has been professional, very helpful and timely as we go through this process. Great service and very customer oriented.
