Being a family doctor is more enjoyable every year that I am in practice, and that is primarily because of the wonderful patients that I rub shoulders with in my practice. I enjoy hearing about my patient's successes in their personal lives and I grieve with them for their losses. I have been going to Dr. Derek M. for over 30 years. He has always answered all of my questions and concerns even when he was in a hurry or running behind. Maybe if everyone wasn't so sue happy these days and Dr.'s didn't have to pay so much for insurance to protect themselves they wouldn't have to overbook and they could spend more time with their patients. Dr. M was once one of the best. I use to recommend him to everyone including my parents. I don't know what happened in the past few years but something has changed and not for the better. Instead of taking a concern and helping to fix or help he and his assistantnurse get rude and snarky. I cannot in good conscience recommend this doctor anymore. I love Dr. Muse! He is a excellent doctor. He cares about his patients and he is knowledgeable. He knows what he’s doing. He never gives up in helping his patients.
Dr Muse was more concerned with jamming 40 patients into an hour, than actually helping his patients. He told me I'm hypoglycemic,told me to eat every 2 hours, and called it a day. He was in the room maybe 5 minutes. Without any direction AT ALL, I ate every 2 hours, and I gained 100 pounds. Not good at following up with patients.

I have visited Dr. Derek Muse for over 30 years. My husband and son also are his patients. We cannot say enough good about this excellent Doctor. We depend on him and he always helps us. Things needed are always done in a timely manner. He is very friendly, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He keeps current on medical updates. We have recommended him to friends and family.
