My husband went to Ashley River Towers ER because of symptoms of a stroke and we were treated promptly. Saw a Dr within 10 minutes and explained the tests that would be needed to rule out a stroke ( CT scan ) That procedure took a while because they were busy but the nurse Hannah checked in frequently. We were very pleased with the care given and the room was clean and the caregivers very professional. ER is typically slow and backed up but we did not experience that on this visit. Highly recommend MUSC

Going in, I was hopeful. They did blood work, urine, EKG. I thought, "OK, they actually care. They will find out whats wrong." The wait to see Dr wasn't bad. 10-15 mins. The wait in the room was a while. They did Ct then said dr wanted to do an exam. The CT came back ok so dr didnt do exam, which I thought I needed. I got my results on the online portal and there were so many abnormal.things going on with blood work, urine, and images. Not one person mentioned any of it. Worse experience ever. My husband has COPD and was having a respiratory flare up from a virus or bacterial(who knows). He was only sent down there to make sure he did not have a blood clot because of recent shoulder surgery. Ran every test possible(which showed he was fighting an infection),and sent him home with no meds. Nothing to help open up his lungs even though X-ray showed mucus clogging airway. Horrible!!! I was losing blood steadily, and had to wait 4 hours before being seen. I almost passed out waiting.
