Dr. Fernandez is the best and worth the wait. Dealing with an eye injury as bad as mine, she's holds nothing back but in a good way. She's made this as bearable as possible and I really appreciate it. If you are in need of a specific type of eye Dr. , than the MUSC Storm Eye Institute ( no matter the location) is where you need to go. Please keep in mind that patience is needed when they are running behind, but worth it to save your vision the best way they can.

Was not informed my doctors office that she was running 45minutes late until I arrived 15minutes before my scheduled appt. as I was directed to do so.! after half hour wait they now said doctor was running one hour late!!!!! I could not keep my appt. with these ongoing delays.Amazing how you want patients to arrive early BUT you fail to let patients now the delay AFTER they arrive. Waisted time for patients. Seeking help other ophthalmologist!!!!!!!!!

Waited for entirely too long for these people. Anyone who has something nice to say about this place is either an employee or friend of. The front desk staff was unprofessional, unhelpful and quite frankly childish in making fun of people waiting. Can’t believe they’re working here. No wonder there’s a two star rating for you guys. 😂😂😂

I wish zero stars was an option. We had an appointment within an hour of them opening and they were somehow already an hour behind. Staff is unprofessional and show they do not care about their patients and their needs. Our child had to miss two meals during one appointment because he is a g tube fed and can’t eat away from home and the staff couldn’t have cared less. For somewhere that only sees children, this isn’t a child friendly location at all. Don’t come to the location!!!

Beware of hidden "clinic fees" which totaled use $150 and were not covered by our insurance. They were not transparent about this. We will not continue to take our children here as 3 appointments per year will total $450 in these fees alone. Also, even though the provider we saw is in our network, because they are a "hospital based outpatient clinic", the cost of our child's eye exam was barely covered by our insurance vs the outpatient private practice we went to before where it was covered at almost 100%.
