We had to visit the ER after my son suffered a burn, and I can’t say enough about how well we were treated. The staff was kind, attentive, and acted quickly to make sure he was comfortable and properly cared for. They explained everything clearly and helped ease what was a very stressful situation for our family. We’re truly grateful for the compassion and professionalism we experienced.
The room we were placed in had dirty linen on the bed and a cart full of “soiled linen”. It sucks that this is the only pediatric ER in the low country..
Inconsistent toxic er filled with so called medical "professionals " I had 2 experiences here. 1 was very good, drs tried to help me and we were treated like humans. We left with a plan and hospital followed up for outpatient surgery. This took a bit and we were trying to wait. However my kids condition kept getting worse so I took her back for our second visit. This ER needs a better plan for autistic children with no patience. My son unfortunately self harms himself when very anxious and waiting for long periods. Big changes need to be put in place for the people with special needs children!! I am not a happy mommy right at the moment with this hospitals ER at all !!! My son busted his chin open and when he self harms he hits his chin ,so he is hitting over and over again his hurt chin because he has been waiting a long while now.
