I have been swimming regularly here for the last several years. I enjoy coming here, the staff are friendly, and the pool is clean. However, it seems to be getting more frequent that I turn up to lap swim in the lap swim hours listed on the website, and it’s closed for some event not listed on the website. Would be nice if this info was given in advance so people don’t turn up when it’s closed.
My son and I went just days after the outdoor pool opened for the summer and we had the pool all to ourselves basically (besides the 2 or 3 people doing laps. The staff was really nice. Only costs $5.44/person. Parking is only $1.50/hour if you don't have an OU parking permit. The downfall I'd have to give it is there's no "deep" end to do any recreational swimming. Great place to swim!
Nice pool but they need more fans and/or better circulation. I have COPD and have difficulty breathing between the heat and humidity. We go to see our granddaughter swim and we are very proud of our Sarah.
