Practicing psychiatry in Longview for 18 years. Specialize in Suboxone therapy and Forensic Psychiatry. I believe we are a house with four rooms: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The emotional room is the most important room and the most challenging to deal with. Yet, I have found that getting better isn't about feeling better... its about getting better at feeling. It's about feeling everything. Using the work of John Sarno, MD, I have cured chronic pain in a number of my patients.

Dr Murphy is very understanding, curtious and a good listener. He explains everything to me and even gives suggestions on helpful reading material. I have been seeing approximately 6 years and never had any problems. He is very professional and knows what he is talking about and has really helped me with my problems. In Longview we do not have many psychiatrists and I feel lucky to be his patient.
love Dr Murphy and Joyce! They are a great team and have helped me tremendously! I don’t even want to know where I’d be had it not been for Dr. Murphy. If you need a good psychiatrist or addiction specialist, please go see him! He’s seen it all... don’t be nervous about asking for help. After 7 years of struggling to get through this on my own, it’s now been 19 months of having my life back. You just can’t put a price on that. HIGHLY recommend giving him a call if you want the best care!
Dr.Murphy's office returned my call at a time in my life when I didn't see any hope, Dr Murphy and the girls at his office gave me hope for a better life .He/ they have been patient and understanding when I didnot understand.They have changed my life in a way that I never imagined.
