Heard a rattling noise on my way home so I stopped by to get it looked at. Had me in, fixed, and back on the road in 30 minutes, and I was able to make it back home that evening. Thanks guys!
Massive thank you to Murdo Ford and their awesome mechanic! Thought we had an alternator problem and they were easily and quickly able to confirm that. Charged our Nissan for an hour (for free!) and gave us great advice on how to make it to Rapid City Nissan to get it serviced because they didn’t have parts (obviously!). Did all that for free and I’m super happy to say that with their expert help we ran out of power on the exit ramp and were able to make it to the dealer in limp mode. Trip saved!!!
I want to thank the awesome people at MURDO FORD in Murdo SD. ♥️ I got to the shop when they opened at 8:00, and I was driving away by 10:15. 😁😊 I broke down after leaving Badlands National Park at mile marker 137. I was in limp mode until exit 143. There I got on the frontage road and limped to kadoka. I got a tow to an RV park in Murdo.
Driving across South Dakota and heading back to Illinois, the alternator went out on our Honda Odyssey. Everywhere we called said that they didn’t work on “foreigns”. Called Murdo and Travis had us towed in within 30 minutes. They verified the issue was the alternator, called to get the part, and were set to have it delivered the next day (on a Saturday). I was driving from Nebraska back home to Bismarck, ND when my tire blew out. I used some random roadside assistance app. Travis, from Murdo Sales and Service was dispatched and wow! It was Saturday night and so I had to spend a couple nights in Murdo waiting for repair. Travis recommended a hotel and came in while I registered to make sure they had availability.
