I had an implant about 3 months ago. It was much less painful than I had feared. It was almost pleasant. Dr. Derhalli is charming and the office staff is pleasant and professional. I would and have recommended Dr. Derhalli to friends and co-workers.
Everything about my experience with Dr. Derhalli and his staff was unpleasant; from scheduling appointments (which the office asst. screwed up twice causing me to show up for an appt. that she had accidentally deleted) to the rude and condescending attitude I received from both him and his Office Assistant. I was paying out of pocket for his services, and they were quite rude when I stated that I would likely not be returning to his office to have twice yearly cleanings in addition to the two cleanings I was already having d... read more
I was referred to Dr. Derhalli by my general dentist as I needed to have dental implants. Dr. Derhalli placed two implants and the general dentist placed the crowns. The procedures were outstanding and pain-free. Since that time, I have had periodontal cleanings in their office and their hygienist does excellent work. I have found the office staff to be very congenial and provided great assistance with my insurance reimbursements. I highly recommend Dr. Derhalli & his office.
Dr. Derhalli is expensive and overpriced. And Sherry, the Office Manager, is a rude individual. They aren't willing to work with you when the cost ends up being more than they told you. They just defend themselves as "being a specialist so that's why we charge so much more than your dentist" who would have charged me $800.00 Less!!!! Don't go to this practice.
When my Portland dentist recommended Dr Derhalli, I asked for a Portland referral. She stated that she could give me one but that said that Derhalli was the best around and that he was worth the extra and unfamiliar drive. She was absolutely correct I'd recommend him in a heartbeat. The cost was more than I had expected, but I have no doubt that he and he was worth it. NOTE: Check with your insurance carrier BEFORE you schedule this procedure and the crown. I didn't and could kick myself!
