Went in worried my toddler might have Gelastic seizures. I was ignored... Gelastic seizures can be very infrequent but need to be caught early in children. You may need to inform your doctors that Gelastic seizures can also appear in otherwise healthy appearing children. Frequently occurring during sleep. Easy to misdiagnosed on a few levels. Had to wait for two hours while staff was laughing and joking with each other in the other room. I never felt so dehumanized in my life until being there. My arm was in immense pain and they treated me like I was a joke. Yes, they (eventually) helped me but I’m never going back there again.
Worst Emergency Room I have ever been to. Trust me, go anywhere else.
