I wouldn’t recommend sending your child to this facility. My daughter fell into trafficking after they allowed her to leave. Leslie who allowed her to be in an unauthorized area which left a window for her to leave the premises. The second residential house has two cameras facing the street that don’t work apparently. When my daughter left the facility they didn’t do follow ups I had to go close her stay there after two weeks of her missing. They were just charging my insurance for empty bed. I can’t thank this team enough. My son was struggling. He refused therapy over and over. I contacted Muir Woods and they spoke to him. He agreed within 15 minutes and I checked him in less than 48 hours later (flew in from CO). Not only did this team work on his mental/physical health, general education, and plan for continued sobriety, they also went to bat with our insurance on covering as much of his treatment as possible. Muirwoods is a great program that has worked with adolescents for years. They have a particularly good track record of working with families who have substance abuse issues. Great resource, happy to have it here!
