I was 62 years old, morbidly obese, and in heart failure in 2018, and was taken to Advocate in Oak Lawn for my heart surgery. I don't recall much, but remember that Dr. Dia and staff were wonderful. Recovery took awhile, but since the surgery I have lost nearly half of my weight, eat better, and am grateful that I am here to play with my grandchildren. Thank you for giving me my life back.
