Don't try to call for an appointment – I have a busy schedule and had Muffler Man work on several of my trucks. My wife needed her car brakes changed on Sat. and I was set to leave out of town on Monday. I called to get a good time to take her car in. The man gave me a time but would not hold the appointment by saying first come first serve. Wow why did I call in the first place. I took it to another shop that was willing to make an appointment. Rip Off Artists or just plain STUPID? – I took my car in to find out what the cause of a noise was. They informed me that I needed Hub Bearings and that the noise was from my AC Compressor. I approved the work for the Hub Bearings and inquired about the AC Compressor. I was told there MAY be a bypass available for my car. They wrote on my receipt "Needs AC Compressor." They FAILED to mention that the bypass was a $40.00 part that would prevent MAJOR problems. 3 and 1/2 weeks later the AC Compressor froze, car got hot and it ... read more

RUN as fast as you can from here! – Imagine I take my truck to Muffler man they do 1200.00 worth of work, then tell me I need the manifolds gaskets replaced for 125.00. I take my truck there today and now the price is 150.00. However when I reminded them of the quote they quickly rectified the matter. An hour later i get a phone call saying that there is a problem, a ROD HAS GONE THROUGH THE ENGINE!!!! THEY DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED THEY DIDN'T EVEN TURN ON THE KEY!!!! i was exhausted getting exhaust – if you get a quote from this location, make sure its written. the actual price i was charged was marginally higher than the quoted price. this is like bumping in used car sales, and watching the bill being written up it seemed clear to me that the numbers were made to represent the price i was charged. besides this, the technician working on my vehicle took as long as 2-3 vehicles in other bays. the sad thing is i could have done the job cheape and faster at home with my own tools, just thou... read more

Avoid at all cost – Chesaning location examined my vehicle and told me I needed new strutts and shocks. I ordered left and right, front and back strutts/shocks from Auto Zone (a local part supplier). I took the brand new packaged parts and my car into the Muffler man and what I thought was a certified mechanic. After picking my car up and spending over $600.00, my car sounded and felt worse than it did when I took it in for repairs. I took the car back and explained the problem.
