We have have went to the Davison location for years...My husband's truck making a horrible racket...They tell him it needs (2) manifolds, $600. Older but nice looking truck and not worth putting $600 into, unless absolutely needed. Comes home, decides to raise truck and inspect, ended up being a very simple fix. Something had come loose. Sat for4 hours for an oil change because they were busy fixing there own vehicle's
Bad business! I went in for an oil change. I told the write up person about a roar that I was experincing @ 55 mph. The repair person told me that the baffles were all loose inside the muffler. I had the muffler replced at their reccomendation. Totalcost @ $200. Guess what, the roar is still there!. Later I was told by another muffler installer, that it's not unusual for the baffles being loose, and that was no reason to change the muffler. Fooled once, but never again. Good Bye Muffler Man?
JUST AWFUL!!!!! I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. Took my truck in here to find out what the issue was and these guys told me it was the water pump...okay no problem. The guy seemed to be searching for ways to charge me more money. they charged me $12.00 for coolant I could have put in myself then they charged for some type of clutch fan that I don't believe I needed nor do I believe that they replaced it. $340.00. Never EVER USING THESE JOKERS AGAIN!!!!
HORRIBLE!! – I have been going to this Muffler Man for years and haven't had an issue. Today I went in for a oil change and was told it would be a few hours, so I left my car there. 3 hours later I got a call it was done. When I got into my previously spotless car (I have a thing about keeping my car spotless) my floor mats were covered in mud! It was clearly noticeable why would someone not have put down a mat to prevent this or at least cleaned it up. Never returning!
Very dishonest business – I was ripped off by this business, and I discourage others from taking your vehicles here. I had my car taken here to get the breaks fixed. They did the work on the brakes, and only after I paid them 180 dollars for the job did they tell me it was unsafe to drive and better off sold for scrap. It was extremely dishonest of them to not be forthcoming with that information when they originally told me the estimate for the break job. Overall good honest service for years – I have had oil changes, minor service done here for years. They are hard working guys that will point out a problem, and offer a solution. I have seen cars come in while I was waiting that need major work, and the people choose not to accept their recommendation. I am willing to bet these are the negative reviews. I have had over 11 vehicles serviced here over more years. They have always treated me fairly and repaired what needed to be fixed at a reasonable price. I would send my daug... read more
Excellent work and Service – I see a lot of negative reviews here. Not sure why. I and my friends have been using Muffler man in Davison for years and have never had a problem. They have always be up front with their recommendations and leave the choice up to you. I highly recommend them to anyone.
awful service – I went into the muffler man for a routine oil change and found that their prices were much lower than the many other places I've gone. i dropped my car off at the shop and came back half an hour later. when i returned they told me that instead of paying fourteen dollars like i was originally told i would be forced to give hand jobs to the whole staff. needless to say i will not be going back. :(
