Emma was phenomenal! I would highly recommend the couple’s wedding band workshop! We decided to do our wedding bands with 3 stones in them each and Emma was so willing to work with us on our vision for the ring. Every time we tell someone we made the rings ourselves they are floored! Not only are the rings unique to us but they are also well made. Our group of eight old friends gathered in Asheville from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Alabama to ring in 2026 together. We were looking for a creative experience to have together, as Asheville is well known for crafting and art, and we found Emma and Sean at Mtn. Metalworks. We had an amazing experience together, each of us making our own silver rings in about 2 hours. Emma and Sean were excellent teachers and are very clearly skilled craftsmen. Emma welcomed our large group (8 ppl) and engagingly led us through a demonstration of craftsmanship, giving us all an opportunity to try our hand at each step of the way, from melting raw silver ingot to annealing, shaping, cutting, decorating, to the final soldering and polishing... Thanks Emma!
My husband and I wanted to make our own rings for our fifteenth wedding anniversary, and Emma was wonderful to work with! She guided us through the project step by step, always willing to step in to offer extra help if needed while also granting us the space and freedom to take charge of our creations. It was an incredible and fun experience, and we both wear our rings every day!
I've taken classes here a few times and Emma has always been a great teacher. She lets you pick what you want to work on and teaches you everything you need to know it make it happen!
