Scensters - WELCOME! My friend just joined the WAC so I have gone with her several times to work out and eat at the sports bar. In a way, its a whole other world belonging to a club with such a longstanding reputation for its respectability. There are unspoken rules that one catches on to with more experience at the club. The gyms are great, the restaurants are fine, and the scene is a mix of old and young. All in all, I would say that the WAC, if you have the money, is an interesting social scene to be a part of.
Big money but great networking This place is the Elite playground of the Seattle super rich. If you are lucky enough to spend any time here you realize that maybe you should keep a spare tie in your gym bag. The basketball program is great and the hardwood floors are worldclass. The tennis courts are also very nice and the staff is well mannered. Great place to network.
Not just a gym, but an experience I grew up going to the WAC, as a few of my High School buddies were members (well their parents were!), and now I am an employee. To be fair, I will only speak of what I experienced as a guest. their facilities are gorgeous, with much of the equiptment new and updated. The basketball courts are very serious, and it is not a pickup game at the Y. Excellent setting for a luncheon I recently attended a luncheon in one of the ballrooms of the WAC. The table settings were immaculate, the servers were very professional and the food was excellent, not only in taste, but presentation.
I love the WAC The amenities and employees at the WAC are a cut above. It really is a great club, a great athletic experience and a lot more.
