AWESOME PLACE!!! – Really fun and festive atmosphere! The waitstaff is very friendly and chefs are more entertaining than other steakhouses I have been to! The food is much better too. The do a thing called a BANZAI, where a man in a Dragon costume comes over and sings Happy Birthday to your friend. So hilarious! Got to Banzai some of my family members- they'll never forget it. All in all a really good experience.
New years eve at the veiws at mount fuji was the biggest rip off ever.The cocktail hour consisted of warm soft shrimp cocktail,mushy spring rolls, beef on toast points that were cold, the wait staff would bring these around to the tables of 10 peaple but the would only have 6 or 8 on the tray so not only was the food bad but they didnt have enough of it after that They called table numbers to tell you when to go up to the buffet that was supposed to be all you can eat but when the call you up a table at a time it doesnt work... read more
The best Hibachi Around...Bonsai!! The atmosphere alone is worth coming to this place. It's sitting on top of a mountain & you have this nostalgic sense of 1970s Shogun. The view is amazing form the lounge & I dare say romantic:)
fave hibachi restaurant This is THE place to go for Hibachi in the area (yes, they do have another location on route 17 but nothing is more authentic than this location). Located on top of a mountain, this restaurant is totally Japanese in appearance. They have the koi ponds and Japanese writing and lanterns and all the works. You will need a reservation for any week night and especially one for Friday or Saturday night. Even with a reservation on Friday or Saturday you will still most likely have to wait. scenic The food is okay- depends what you're looking for. I think it's Anglified- not very authentic. I usually get the tuna hibachi. The real draw is the view. It's the former site of motel on the mountain. And no, there is no problems with the area, it is very safe!
My favorite!! I always love going to Mt. Fuji!! My husband and I usually start with a drink or 2 at the bar (the mai tais are the best!). I usually order the Filet Mignon & lobster tail for dinner. The food is always delicious & the portions are huge. It is a fun & entertaining place to go. We enjoy bringing my young nieces & nephews to dinner here..they always have a great time. Although it is a little pricy, it is worth it for a special occasion.
Banzai! – Good food, great service, reasonable prices (by NYC standards), and just enough kitsch to make a fun evening. Mount Fuji provides the entertainment, and a friendly atmoshpere where our party of 10 was able to enjoy a relaxed evening of fun and almost fine dining. The management made us feel very welcome, had our table ready on time, and took care of us through out the night. Our Chef was great, and everyone had a good time.
