Dont listen to the one stars This M&T Bank branch consistently delivers excellent service. The women working here are kind professional and truly go above and beyond to help. They always make sure things are done right and with care. I have read many reviews and noticed that a lot of the low ratings come from people who may not fully understand how banks operate or who are frustrated by things outside the staff’s control. Ms. Carla, the branch manager is amazing and has helped me with options as a small business owner and the team is always very cordial to me whenever I come into the branch. They are accepting of all people no matter your culture or background. I even referred them to speak to some of the local charity organizations in the neighborhood (especially Women’s Lunch Place) & Pine Street Inn about helping people to open up a bank checking account, for those who do not trust banks.
I tried open CD account but I couldn't find current photo id but I already have account with this bank but the teller couldn't look up my information with debitcard. So I go back the 2nd time with an expired ID because I couldn't locate my current one than she asked if I have current passport yes not with me. This was waste of my time & I am pissed enough I will close my account with M & T. I didn't have this issue with Eastern Bank.
Walked all the way here after work to take out some cash because I’m tired of paying ATM fees around Boston as there are no branches near my home or school or office. Was hoping the previous review had been resolved but I couldn’t enter the ATM lobby with my M&T card, the swipe pad looks super outdated and is clearly not functioning. There are already so few branches around Boston and if they don’t even make the effort to serve their customers I think it’s just time to switch banks to something more accessible.
Tried to use the ATM this weekend - Could not enter the ATM area with my M&T bank card. Very frustrating. Should change the name of the bank to Maybe Tomorrow bank!
