I am surprised there are not more low-star reviews. I switched to Dr. Oakes after moving here and had 2 bi-annual appointments. The dentist I saw 6 months prior to Dr. Oakes had also not seen anything of concern or any areas that they said they want to keep an eye on. Suddenly, Dr. Oakes "found" several places to fill/fix and pushed me to get those procedures done. I have always had bi-annual cleanings/check-ins my whole life leading up to switching to Dr. Oakes. Horrible dentist. Had a crown placed. It hurt my tongue. He charged me for the follow up appointment to check the crown. Front office lady was rude! I won't be going back. I found a new dentist and they are shocked by what Dr. Oakes office has done. I asked to talk with him. So many excuses as to why I couldn't talk to him. Don't waste your time, plenty other dentist's out there.
This person pretends to be forthright,trustworthy and caring! He's not. He never took any imprints for the dentures I ended up with that never fit correctly. When I tried to get his assistance in correcting the problem he litterly blew me off and blamed me for his lack of competency . Don't take his charming charismatic appearance at face value. I had to report him for insurance fraud.
