I have read all of Dr Etherington reviews and they are predominantly about costs. I was referred to the Alfred Hospital spinal unit and got him at no costs through the public health system. Other reviews mention his bed side manner being cold. I mentioned this to him and he said I was not seeing him about his non existent warm and fuzzy attitude but rather his spinal expertise; that’s true I don’t care about warm and fuzzy. Zero stars. Cost me a fortune, when I'm not working. Didn't take the time to read my letter or look at my images. Very rude and unhelpful. Should not be a spinal surgeon if you are so uneducated and lack empathy.
Greg Etherington found a problem in my spine that was stopping me walking more that 20 meters that no one else could find in over 2 yeas before and 100% fixed it. He is a NO B.S. straight to the point Doctor and l highly rocommend him.
The worst specialist experience I have ever had. As a student $350 was a large amount of money that went down the drain in 20 minutes. My pain was completely dismissed because I don't take any pain relief, nothing was explained, he was late because he was eating lunch and then proceeded to also answer a phone call for at least 5 minutes during my first consultation with no apology.
