Owner is a super nice guy, place really gives off a local casual dining feeling. Real standout is the fried oysters, nicely fried and the side sauce is a hit. Hush puppies are nice too. Fish and chips are alright, crinkle cut fries not my favorite and it's a simple fried light batter fish, but definitely not bad for the price. Fried scallops are ok.
It's really a shame because their fish and chips used to be real good,,, big pieces of fish, now they're very small pieces of fish with a lot of tasteless batter,, it's very expensive now,,, the owner is nice and the service is good,,, but I left feeling very ripped off
We have driven past this place a few times and were glad we stopped by. The owner is so kind and we loved the fried fish and shrimp. Their popcorn shrimp was our favorite!
Very busy right at lunch time. Food is made to order so be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes. Huge delicious whole cod filets, perfectly battered and crispy with big steak fries. We also got the clam strips and scallops which were both delicious. Don't waste your time with the onion rings - the thinnest ring of onion in five times as much batter.
