I had an exceptionally bad spinal injury. My good friend and lawyer searched for the absolute best surgeon for me. After 3 very highly rated surgeons passed, saying "there was no hope" I sought a 4th opinion. I had to preserve the nerves so I'd still walk. I had a meeting with Dr. Rhorer. My first impression was total disgust. He was arrogant and so sure of his skill. But, after 3 other consults and none of them with the nerve to fix me I was also thrilled at his arrogance.
