We just had all the windows on the main level of our house restored with Mozer Works, and they did an awesome job. We decided to restore our 100 year old windows rather than replacing because restoring maximized the amount of light we'd get, meant a much longer time before we'd have to restore or replace again (since new windows have shorter life expectancies), and also our original windows are built to last forever - I didn't want their stories to end under my stewardship. We just had our first batch of windows restored by Mozer Works. It was important to us to keep and restore the windows in our 100 year old house. Some of the windows were in bad shape and I was afraid they might be beyond repair, but Neil's team did an amazing job bringing them back to life. The restored antique windows are not only fully functional, but truly beautiful as well. The lead time is long but we couldn't be happier with the results.
We had Mozer repair four windows whose wood frames were literally rotting before our eyes. My windows work beautifully now, sliding through their full range and staying where I put them! I smile every time I use them. Two things held me back from giving five stars -- First, my windows were at their shop for much longer than I was told to expect, which meant limited AC in my home for most of the summer. (We have window AC units, which can't be placed without the windows.) Second, while the window sashes themselves look neat and crisp, the finish work on the re-installed sash stops is sloppy -- glops of uneven caulk... read more
we have now had our second window restored by Mozer Works. This one was for a bathroom, and they procured tempered, frosted glass for safety and privacy. They also corrected the weights on the first window they did for us, which had been hard to keep open but is now working perfectly. The quality of their work, particularly the bespoke metal weather-stripping, is impressive. it is great to see vintage windows as they were meant to be--without decades of paint coatings gumming up the works. could not be happier.
Mozer Works has a 4.2 star rating with 13 reviews.
Mozer Works is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
