Excellent Surgeon and Staff Dr Gorospe and his staff have been absolutely wonderful in helping me with my weight loss journey. I had my surgery in May 2010, I have lost 211 pounds to date. He has done amazing work and has answered every question I have had. He talks to me as a friend instead of a patient. He is very thorough and caring. Gastric Bypass Surgeon is GREAT Dr Gorospe did my surgery in Jan 2003, I still see him monthly at support groups which are so helpful. He is always there to answer any question I might have and provides great guest speakers. As in 2003 his staff is still as helpful now as they were then when I call or go in for my semi annual appointment. I have been successful in loosing my weight and keeping it off. Anonymous Dr. Gorospe and his staff are tops! When I went for the free seminar I was given a packet of info that told me everything I needed to know. I was informed of the fees up front before I ever made an appt., (all bariariatric practices have these and his happens to be the cheapest) the process, what I was responsible for and what they were responsible for. Experience is Worth the Wait I want to write a little blog here. I had surgery by Dr. Gorospe in 2005 and would do it again it a heartbeat. Dr. Gorospe is excellent with what he does and is there for ANY and All patients if you need him. It does not matter if it's at 3 AM...if it's an emergency he is always there for you. It is all about the money $$$ Unbelievable episode of events where I came close to losing my life. The whole thing is a dog and pony show just to get patients to fork over their money and then are neglected as though they do not matter. The quality of care is substandard at best and I cannot recommend anyone to experience what I have. If you are thinking of having the surgery do your homework and really check out the Doctor because if I had fully checked I would have never put my life in his hands.
RIP OFF I am very disappointed in Dr Gorospe and his staff. They are very rude and uncompassionate. I paid my $200 NON REFUNDABLE administrative fee, and like everyone else, was put in line...then, after doing all the "leg work" and paying my money, Dr G changed hospitals..>AGAIN!!! This time he changed to a hospital that is NOT in my insurance network. They were unwilling to work with me to get my surgery done and also told me that I was basically S.O.L as far as my money goes. They wont give me back my money OR do my surge... read more
I can't say much for him because we could not get around his office. They draw you in, make you pay for the first visit and then you are put in line like "take a number". Do your self a favor and when you are searching check OWLO.
You saved my life! Dr. Gorospe did gastric bypass surgery on both me and my husband. Since this time, we have lost 100's of pounds, but best of all, gone off all medications we needed prior to loosing weight. We were both victim to high blood pressure and high diabetes levels, now we are normal. I would not hesitate to have this life altering surgery again, and Dr. Gorospe would be my doctor of choice.
