I was here a year ago exactly and it was amazing! So fun. Great vibe and loved playing the arcade games with my asu freshman (now sophomore). This time the experience was not good. The smell is horrible! There is construction in the hall and there is this muggy sewery stench getting to your room. Inside the room the smell is better, but masked by some sweet chemical cleaner (and the room was clean). One of the elevators doesn’t work. Only one of the five arcade games worked. Would not have stayed here if given the choice! Unfortunately for me, I booked with Hotwire, and this is the 3.5 star hotel they put me in. What a joke, this place is a 2 star at best in it's current state. Just read the other reviews and you will see. Location was the only positive about staying here.

The only thing positive about this hotel is the location close to campus. Otherwise it is one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, including many of my developing world hotel stays. The rooms were dark, and falling apart. Literal paint dangling from the ceiling because the shower head sprayed water from the connection straight on to the ceiling. A terrible experience from start to finish, and far below the standard I would normally expect from Marriott. When I arrived at 11pm a security guard rudely told me that the receptionist would not return for another 15 minutes and that I simply needed to wait. When the receptionist eventually arrived, their attitude was equally unpleasant. Stayed here because my house is pretty much across the street and my air conditioner is broken. It's August So I really paid the price for convince. Lobby is kinda cute but the hall to the five nights at Freddy's elevator smelled like mold and had a few bad rooms with plumbing problems. My room on the second floor was ok but kinda small for 4 people. No fridge or coffee maker. Only one unbagged trash can in the bathroom. Had to go to the lobby for toilet paper because we didn't have any. They charge a parking fee of $15 and ... read more
