I don’t think my hairstylist fully understood what I was asking for during my recent visit. I ended up with a very awkward-looking front bang, which I didn’t want. We had discussed not cutting the bang too short, and she agreed. However, during the cut, she ended up going shorter than agreed — she even admitted her hands “went without control.” Now, the front of my hair looks sparse and uneven because of this. Last week, I visited Moxie Salon for my third appointment with a stylist I had seen twice before. I requested a trim and explained that I was trying to grow my hair out and strengthen it through supplements. I also asked for some layers to add volume, as my hair was looking flat. The stylist suggested trimming the dead ends. She turned my chair away from the mirror and began cutting. When she finished and turned the chair back around, I was surprised by how much shorter my hair looked. At home, even my teenage sons commented... read more

I’ve only been to Moxie 3 times and it has been a fantastic experience each time. Unfortunately I live on the east side so I don’t get out there as much as I’d like, but today I got my hair done for my wedding (just a highlight & cut) and the stylist was so, so kind. Moxie is welcoming to people of all backgrounds and they do their best to make you feel comfortable. I am super grateful they’re around!!
