Too Noisy – The office chairs in the theater need to be oiled. The chairs were so squeaky we had difficulty hearing the movie. Our waitress went to her manager to see if she could get us movie passes so we could return another day to watch the movie to which he replied there was nothing he could do about it. There is something he can do about it, oil the chairs. I love the concept behind the Movie Tavern but they have lost a customer. There are other theatres in Houston with the same theme.

Horrible service and bland food – Cool idea, but the service is abysmal. I wonder if they just ship in hobos from the nearby I-45 overpasses and tell them, "Just hand this Coca Cola out." The food is very bad quality, but even a low quality chicken breast is better than most of what you could get in a traditional theater. We go here a lot because of their 6-beer cooler device: The Tavern Tanker. Nothing beats drinking beer in public from office chairs while watching slasher movies.

Good food, ok service, great seating – Great concept, not good process for seating people and check paying. Seems like the server always forgets to come back and refill drinks & collect payment. Food is good and great seating! Popcorn really bad

New Concept for me. Love it. – I hear that there's the Alamo Drafthouse doing the same thing in Westoaks, but this is my first time with a combination dinner and theater. Took the wife and 5 small children. The seating is comfy and the food is not bad either. Kids' meals (theater menu) are actually much cheaper than standard theater pricing. Adult meals are only slightly more expensive than at a similar restaurant, but I'm not complaining. You are still gouged for your drinks, however. Breathing new life into movie theaters! – What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night! My mom and I shared the Chicken Deluxe Nachos and a Goodfella's pizza, with the light-up Beer Tower of Shiner Bock! The food was good, nothing too exceptional, but the beer tower was so fun, complete with it's own cooling system and ambient glow-haha! Why didn't someone tell me sooner – Our grown boys introduced us to the Richey Road Tavern. It is not listed with the movies so we didn't know it existed. Parking was not a problem. We loved it. While not gourmet, the food was as good or possibly better than you would expect at any grill. I had what has to be the worlds greatest hamburger and everyone else was happy with their selection. NOW THIS IS A MOVIE THEATRE! – My boyfriend and I had dinner and a movie last night at Movie Tavern. I had the grilled chicken breast dinner, with steamed vegetables. He had quesadillas, and it came with chips and queso. The food is cruise ship quality food. It is a bit pricey, but it is totally worth it! The servers are a little lacking, and at times unresponsive.. but overall its a great deal. Especially for college students where we can see a movie for an all day every day price of $4.00.
