Went to put flowers on my Moms grave today, the sprinklers were on. I waited twenty minutes then asked someone when the cycle would be over was told soon, waited another forty minutes until I saw another groundskeeper and asked him, I was told this time that the sprinklers run all day on Saturday! I asked if it would be possible to shut them off just so I could place the flowers, he said he was helping someone else then would "try" . Waited another fifteen minutes then just put them at her grave and got soaked in the process... read more

We are very sorry this happened to you during your visit here. We run off of a ditch that is filled by the Truckee, so our water is limited and also at the discretion of TMWA. We water each section once a week, all day between April 1st and November 1st. Again, we apologize for the behavior of our grounds crew.

The lawn looks great in parts. However, there are loved ones just above 4th St where it is dead and weeds everywhere. Please take better care of your cemetery for their sake.

If you can, please call the office at 775-329-9231 to request a work order. Our small grounds crew does the best that they can with their limited staff. The office staff will be able to assist you in getting a work order out.
My mother is buried here. I was hoping they had put down sod on her plot by now. It has been since September 14, 2016. Of course it has not been done. It is not like they put it down and it died. It was never put down on her grave. I have pictures that shows that. I have had multiple issues with these guys. The people that run the place and the caretakers are not friendly and are hard to deal with. They do not seem to care or have respect for the family members that have past on and all of them have plenty of excuses for not... read more

September is too hot to plant sod, we try to wait until later in the year. By the time it is ready for sod, our water gets shut off/we don't have enough water. This year we should have plenty of water! We're very pleased with that news! Your mother will get sod this summer, but if for some reason she doesn't, please let the office staff know and we'll be more than happy to address the situation at hand.
