We switched to this vet over a year ago which was unfortunately a costly mistake. In the short time we were with them we spent over $8,000.00, yet that could care less about our business when our doctor left. Our pets were under the care of Dr Sobotka and since Dr Sobotka left, Mountain View has refused to honor the visits we paid for which has cost us a substantial amount of money at our new vet. Very disappointed, that the facility was closed on Saturdays. I had to take my seriously ill, (pneumonia) over 1 hrs, 40 min. Drive to a Pet Hospital in Redlands. He was treated with I.V. administered of medicines. He was released at 7pm at night, after being admitted for 12 hours. He, Rudy, died at 130am that night. Mountain View Animal Hospital in Big Bear, Ca. Just 4.5 miles from me, ran up huge bill of over $900 for a 2 hour stay, over double what I was charged for his brother at Redlands Emergency Pet Hospital just 12 h... read more
My 9 year old german shepherd. This Vet Would not give him the correct pain medicine. He died in agony!! Only tramadol. Do not take your pet here. It's a killing factory they wanted to put him down immediately. He lived 6 months more. We did not experience the kindness that I expected at a veterinary clinic , and I had to beg for the medication for my Beloved Boy. Do not take your pet to To this killing factory.
They don’t treat emergencies as emergencies And the vet is a nice guy but a bit condescending as he doles out remarks like “A CBC doesn’t diagnose a mrsa” Of course a CBC doesn’t diagnose a MRSA but a high white count can indicate a mrsa is present and the need for a culture. Quite possibly more vets in Big Beat and a concentration on emergency services rather than patronizing remarks would be helpful!
