In 1994 eight physicians from three separate practices decided to combine resources and form what is now Mountain Region Family Medicine, PC on January 1, 1995. This "experiment" was and is a tremendous success. MRFM now is composed of 16 primary care physicians with two locations in Kingsport, one in Gate City, VA and one in Nickelsville, VA.
