Worst insurance I have EVER experienced. I'm generally someone who tries to find the positive in businesses and leave positive reviews, but I absolutely cannot with MHC. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was incorrectly billed for a preventive care visit from May of 2025. I've spoken with multiple customer service reps, one of whom told me to lie about codes related to the visit. I have been a customer for two years. I could have gone with another insurance company with the latest Healthcare dot gov enrollment. I didn't because I have loyalty and WAS happy with my service. Today, two days before Christmas, and after the closing of open enrollment, I was notified that my monthly payment was increasing by $100. I called thinking there was a mistake. Worst...worst...worst scammy insurance ever. I was bombarded with multiple phone calls a day for weeks to make an appointment for a video appointment with a nurse which I found weird from an insurance provider. They promised me $50 even. I relented and made my appointment. The nurse offered mental health assistance for my ADHD. After two weeks I looked at her notes on the portal and they didn't make much sense. We have been with this insurance since 2024. They have paid claims for both of my children and have taken policy payments monthly until December 2025 now all of the sudden neither of my children are covered yet the premium is the exact same and they claim my children have not been active all of 2025 yet paid a claim on one child in April and another in September.
