This place is awesome. Food was great. Carne asada had a really nice flavor but was a bit tough. My wife’s chicken was very tender so I’ll do that next time around. Love all the topping options. I had a burrito with carbs asada, rice, black and pinto beans, peppers and onions, jalapeño slaw, pickled onions, and fresh jalapeños, corn and pepper salsa, and shredded cheese. The Lake James Team absolutely loves Mountain Burrito in Morganton. It’s one of those places we keep coming back to, whether it’s a quick lunch or something casual after a long day. The food is consistently good, fresh, and flavorful. The pickled onions and fresh guacamole are standout favorites for us. And the portions are no joke, we never leave hungry and usually have enough to take home for a snack later.
