The appraiser Devin Chapman went out of his way to use unusual (70 years older,, different number of bedrooms...) comps to greatly undervalue a house under contract. We provided better comps and he refused to make any changes. Banks, stay away from this company / appraiser.
Just a word of caution. I don't think Devon knows anything about real estate in WNC. If you want a low appraisal he's your man. I'll never use him or recommend him to anyone.
