I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with billing at this office has been frustrating. I saw a doctor here in early 2023 and recently received a surprise bill, over two years after the appointment.The doctor no longer works at this practice and I haven't seen her in years. I have a receipt showing that I paid the copay at the time of my appointment back in 2023. Apparently, that doctor never submitted a claim through my insurance. We regretted coming to this emergency room immediately. There are so many better options for healthcare in NYC and we chose wrong. This level of negligence should be seen as a problem but it's clear this is standard procedure.
If you can go anywhere else, do it. They have always been quite rushed and abrupt- they are clearly very over-scheduled. I have dealt with this in the past here, and honestly just let it go because I don’t have any major eye issues, and I really just needed someone to check my prescription. However, on this last visit, the “rush” to get me through amounted to several mistakes being made in my care. I had a great experience despite the reviews. The doctor and nurses were very knowledgeable, listened to me and reassured me when I was nervous. I saw Dr. Pasquale. They front desk was very professional and clear. Some patients were rude to the receptionists and made unnecessary comments. I understand that people may feel otherwise, but we are all adults and should respect healthcare workers. If you have a disagreement, then voice it. Don’t say something sexist.
