I had a rare ectopic miscarriage. I went in 2 times to Mt Sinai Hopsital in Miami as a Canadian without insurance, and this is my experience: The nurses at the very beginning both times were lovely, but as soon as you go through the doors to emergency everything goes down hill. The first time the obgyn doctor was very assertive and told me I would need surgery, however I would need to wait 5-6 hours + and be there overnight. A few months ago I had a very delicate procedure performed at Mt. Sinai Miami Beach. I walked in very nervous and worried. A team of doctors walked in and within 5 minutes I felt at ease. These doctors treated me like family putting me at ease and before the procedure I was relaxed and even laughing. The procedure went as planned, a complete success.
