Care was excellent from security at front desk, admitting clerk, liaison staff, nurses, CNA's, anesthesiologist, PA, and surgeon.
The pediatric emergency room is a hot mess. They don't have enough rooms/ private areas to accommodate the patients so of course patient confidentialality is not practice. I waited 3 hours for my son to be seen and waited 45 mins for medication for my son and another 30 mins to be discharged. That's over 4 hours. And the tension because of the limited space has the staff uneasy. And security had to escort parents out of the pediatric unit because of limited space. This is the best hospital ever� thats where i have my baby they treat me like a queen�� so loving it ��
I was there with my husband, who is 67 yrs old. We were in the geriatric section. It wasn't that crowded, but you can only get a bed if you have to put on a gown. He had been experiencing severe pain in his foot. They examined his foot while he was sitting in an area with several other patients, no privacy whatsoever. Everyone heard the conversation......The wait time was ridiculous.
I'm so ANGRY right now! That I missed my stop coming to work! I've been going to Mount Sinai on 8th Ave/48th St. for the last 10+ years, so when my daughter told me that she had a blow out confrontation w/ the staff early this week, I did not support her! She said the staff was rude, yelled her name out, had patients that came after her be seeing 1st, then refused to let her see the doctor (Michael Bagner) because she did not have her co-pay. Dr. Sundar Jagannath & The Myeloma Team at Mount Sinai are wonderful. Thanks to them, I've been in Complete Remission for more than 3 years. After my last visit with Dr. Jagannath, I've been told there is no cancer in my system!
