Great Emergency room, fully equipped. I would not send anyone anywhere else. If hospitalization is required, Mt. Sinai has a a lot of skilled Doctors and Surgeons and nursing. The staff and has a great staff retention rate - many have worked there for over 30 years. As I see it, a happy staff really helps a patient who might be going through the worst experience of their life. We went to this hospital for an emergency at 4 AM while my wife was in severe pain, and there was literally no one to help. We waited 3 hours and nothing was done-no doctor came to see her. After all that time, a nurse finally told us it might take another 3 hours before a doctor could even see the patient. Seriously? Absolutely unacceptable. We left and went to another hospital for real care. Worst experience
The doctors and nurses at the emergency department are very kind and caring. Although the waiting time can be quite long, they truly take good care of every patient with patience and professionalism. I’m grateful for their dedication — definitely the right choice of hospital!
